PROPOSED SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO ROCKLAND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SERVICES IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $316,000
The County of Rockland is considering the issuance of a Sole Source award to Rockland Economic Development Corporation for the provision of Economic Development Services. Funding amount is contingent on the adoption of the County of Rockland 2017 Annual Budget. As such, the final funding amount may differ from the estimated amount provided in this notice.
This award may be made on a sole source basis in accordance with the Rockland County Procurement Policy.
The contract fills a need for:
The development of an economic development strategy and implementation plan (in conjunction with the Rockland County Economic Development Office) which will assist and guide Rockland County in its future economic development efforts, provide an understanding of existing economic opportunities and challenges, and advise the County as to how it can better retain, expand and attract new business and economic growth.
The contracted agency shall work with Rockland County’s office of Economic Development to implement County initiatives and programs at the direction of the County’s Director of Economic Development.
The contracted agency shall strategically market the region to promote Rockland County’s assets as they pertain to identified industries.
