Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland, Department of General Services, Facilities Management Division, is seeking to obtain from qualified professional engineering firms, design services for the development and preparation of plans and specifications for the County Veteran Cemeteries Improvements at the Fred Loescher Cemetery, and the Gary Onderdunk Cemetery, located in the County of Rockland, New York. These plans and specifications shall be in complete compliance with the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, New York State Wicks Law, and all other governing agency codes and standards. The County of Rockland, Facilities Management Division, is seeking to enter into a contract for Engineering Design Services for the County Veteran Cemeteries Improvements. Both cemeteries are used for veteran burials. The Gary Onderdunk cemetery is over thirty years old and is at full burial capacity. The Fred Loescher cemetery is fifteen years old and is approaching full burial capacity for the existing developed cemetery burial area. It will require expansion and development of remaining cemetery property. Both cemeteries will require site improvements which consist of roadways, landscaping, grave maintenance, utilities, lighting, signage, fencing, maintenance facilities, security and other related cemetery needs. These improvements shall provide a warm, respectful environment for the families and their loved ones.
