Summary of Specifications:
1.0 GENERAL OVERVIEW 1.1 Background: A. The County of Rockland, DGS-Facilities Division is seeking specific bid responses from qualified contractors to perform elevator/escalator maintenance for the equipment listed in the Bid Proposal Form. B. County of Rockland, DGS-Facilities Management, Pomona, NY 10970 requires the Preventative Maintenance and Repair of the elevators listed, elevator electronic control circuits and car selector systems to assure they are properly maintained and up to code. C. Section 1 - Services for the Courthouse Elevators and Lift was previously a Mini-Bid Quote RFQ-RC-2010-088 under a NYS OGS award 21340 Group 71004. The state does not currently have an elevator contract in place. Our contract for services in Section 1 goes through to December 15, 2015. D. Section 2 - Services for Hydraulic and Cabled Elevators and Dumbwaiters was previously a Mini-Bid Quote RFQ-RC-2010-040 under a NYS OGS award 21340 Group 71004. The state does not currently have an elevator contract in place. Our contract for services went through to June 12, 2015 but has been extended through to December 15, 2015. E. Section 3 - Services for six (6) Dover Traflowmatic IV Geared Traction Elevators was previously a Mini-Bid Quote RFQ-RC-2013-119 under a NYS OGS award 21340 Group 71004. The state does not currently have an elevator contract in place. Our contract for services currently goes through to February 27, 2016. Building A is a ten story building, with floors 1 through 9 currently occupied with the Summit Park Hospital And The Summit Park Nursing Care Center. The elevators serves all ten (10) floors. As indicated previous in this solicitation, the Hospital and Nursing Care Center is closing December 31, 2015. The County of Rockland shall be moving other County of Rockland agencies to the Building A facility as the floors are renovated. F. The two elevators listed in the Correctional Center have recently been overhauled and are under warranty until December 31, 2016. They will then be included in this award starting January 1, 2017. KNOWN DEFICIENCIES - There are no known deficiencies at this time. However, during site visit if any deficiencies are noticed, firm shall submit deficiency in writing to the purchasing department for review and determination as to whether repair needs to be included in specifications. If the County determines that deficiency needs to be added to specifications an addendum will be issued and included. The County shall be the final decision as to whether there is an actual deficiency.
