Summary of Specifications:
Consulting Services for the County of Rockland Dept. of Public Transportation, Qualified Suppliers List, On an as needed basis. The purpose of this RFP is to inform the private sector of a potential business opportunity for the County of Rockland to obtain the services of highly qualified and capable vendor(s) to provide subject matter experts for the County of Rockland, Department of Public Transportation for various projects as they become available. These projects will assist the County staff with improving processes in various functions and areas within the County of Rockland Department of Public Transportation. Examples of desired areas of expertise include consulting services to include, but not limited to development of procurement documents, vehicle procurement, in-line inspections, Buy America and Post reports, contract provisions, technical writing and procedure development, cost / price analysis, audit services (all types), assist with funding and grant applications, transit planning and study services, vehicle inspections, best practices, etc. Experience working with municipalities or other government entities is highly desirable.
