Summary of Specifications:
PURPOSE The purpose of this RFP is to inform the private sector of a potential business opportunity to establish a contract for the Rockland County Department of Public Transportation to develop a complete Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) plan for the County of Rockland Transit System. The awarded contractor shall also be responsible for maintaining the finalized accepted plan on an annual basis not to exceed four (4) option years. PROJECT BACKGROUND The County of Rockland is embarking on a program to deploy transit ITS technologies through the County of Rockland Transit System. The County of Rockland is in need of: • Phase I - Systems Engineering Analysis, Operational Assessment, and System Design • Phase II - Update the plan on an annual basis for a maximum of four (4) option years
