RFP-RC-2015-012 - Bond Counsel

Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this RFP is to inform the private sector of a potential business opportunity to assist the County in the legal review and issuance of financing over a one (1) year period and to provide opinions on other financing issues. Law firms responding to this Request for Proposal should have extensive experience, a knowledgeable back ground and qualifications in the areas listed in the Scope of Objectives Section of this RFP. The County is an issuer of general obligation and other type debt. Total outstanding debt totaled approximately $631,864,482 as of 12/31/14. The County plans to issue over a one year period approximately $30 to $50,000,000 of debt for capital improvements The County plans to issue over a one year period approximately $18,000,000 to $40,000,000 in debt restructuring The county plans to issue over a one year period approximately $60,000,000 of Tax Anticipation Notes. If any of the extension terms are taken - other services for deficit bonds may be required.
