Expense Reduction Services Audit of Pharmaceutical Costs Against GPO Contract Pricing 

The County of Rockland is interested in identifying qualified firms interested in providing expense reduction services through an audit of pharmaceutical purchases from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2007. During this time the County of Rockland participated in the Amerinet Group Purchasing Organization to receive contract pricing on pharmaceutical purchases. The County contracted with a Pharmaceutical Distributor to inventory and deliver the required drugs at the Amerinet contract price plus a markup to cover the costs of inventory and delivery. 

The County would like to audit the purchases made during this period against the Amerinet price in effect at the time of ordering. 

This is a "No Cost" contract. The primary intent of this contract is to identify refunds or credits resulting from overpayments or incorrect billings by the County’s primary distributor of pharmaceuticals. Cost recoveries may be pursued, with all contractor audit fees deducted from funds recovered. The County of Rockland has previously engaged the expertise and services of qualified vendors to perform Countywide Expense Reduction Services for telecommunications and utility costs.
