SSN-RC-2017-012 - ANNUAL MAINTENANCE FOR FARO FOCUS 3D 120 LASER SCANNER AND FARO SCENE SOFTWARE L

The County of Rockland Sheriff Division and Department of General Services Purchasing Division intend to recommend the issuance of a Sole Source award to Faro Technologies.  This purchase will be made on a sole source basis in accordance with Rockland County Procurement Policy and approval by the Rockland County Legislature.
 
This notice is issued for informational purposes only and is NOT a request for competitive quotes.
 
The Contractor shall provide one (1) year standard warranty for Faro Focus 3D 120 Laser Scanner includes annual certification and recalibration,  parts, labor and return shipping charges (SWS-FC-1Y-R $3808-$4200) and one (1) year 3D MA SC Scene Software Maintenance as per previously agreed to Contract #9631407486254007424  (SMA-SC-1Y-R $990.00).  The equipment and software had originally been purchased under solicitation RFB-RC-2012-055.
 
Faro Technologies is the only known source that can provide the crime scene Faro Scene software updates, patches and support which interfaces directly with the Faro Focus 3D Laser Scanner.  Faro Technologies is the only know source that can provide the necessary certification and re-calibration for the Focus 3D 120 Laser Scanner
 
Any interested party should submit a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this notice can be met by April 27, 2017 prior to 3:00 PM.  Statement of capabilities shall include working knowledge of the above system, written authority by FARO Technologies to service and calibrate and access the software and scanner systems and parts; documented record of other service work.  A determination by the County not to compete the proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the County.
