Summary of Specifications:
The contractor shall furnish and install one (1) SAM (Submersible Aerator Mixer) submerged variable-speed mechanical slowspeed turbine aerator mixers, as specified in these specifications. The SAM aeration system shall include variable-speed submerged aerator mixer(s), complete with submersible electric drive motor(s), variable mechanical speed reducer(s), underwater electric cable(s), stainless steel lifting cable(s), EPDM process air hose(s), and all connecting fittings, parts, and electrical controls for making the equipment functional for this design. The system shall be designed to provide sufficient oxygen, uniform air distribution and solids suspension throughout the aeration zone of influence for the treatm ent of the wastewater.
