The County of Orange has identified License Plate Readers as a critical tool for use in public safety and crime prevention. The County of Orange (“County”) is seeking bids from qualified bidders for its installation of New York State Department of Transportation (“DOT”) breakaway poles mount kits (Item No. 422072 Pole and Mount kits) and 115 solar powered License Plate Readers (item no. 140718 Street Sentry Purchase-North) to be installed thereon, and 10 hard wired License Plate Readers, to be installed on gantries ( collectively referred to as "LPR" and/or "LPRs”), as well as accompanying equipment necessary for the installation. LPR equipment procured from the New York State Office of General Services through Leonardo US Cyber and Security Solutions, LLC (“Leonardo”).
The successful bidder must specify, on its bid form, all equipment and services needed for the installation of the LPRS at various locations on State and/or County roads, with locations determined by the County, and include the the estimated hours and hourly rates for the engineers/technicians needed for such installation and ultimate operation of the LPRS to arrive at an all-inclusive lump sum cost(s) for installation. Work to be completed on or about December 31, 2025. A bid extension is available should additional funding become available and additional installations are needed.
All equipment provided in connection with the LPRS must be new and standard equipment from the original manufacturer.
