RFP-IS-02-2004 - Desktop and Laptop Computers

Summary of Specifications:
Orange County Government in New York is requesting proposals for the acquisition of Personal Computers and/or Laptops for the County’s departments. Our end goal is to provide an inexpensive, reliable computer with high availability and low support costs to our end users while taking advantage of any new technologies and tools that have become available. The County is looking for more than a commodity vendor as this Request for Proposal is intending to incorporate the Vendors’ expertise in streamlining the ordering, delivery, support and disposal components of computer acquisition. Only Vendors with proven past performance with successful outcomes in a similar environment will be considered. The County intends to reduce total cost of ownership by working with a single Vendor over the agreement term of five (5) years followed by five (5) one-year contract renewal options at the County’s discretion. All proposed vendor recommendations must follow Orange County’s technology environment standards as indicated in Section 4.1 and 4.2.
