Summary of Specifications:
The Dutchess County Office for the Aging/NYConnects (CASA) plans, coordinates and provides an array of community based services to the elderly and persons who require assistance in the long term care system, in a effort to promote independence, dignity and quality of life. Through its distinctive role of committed advocate and community partner, the agency strives to ensure clients' needs will continue to be met now and in the future. To build on our Dutchess County's tradition of excellence, the County Executive is requesting that we undertake a Senior Transportation Study to seek options of what can be done for short term (next 1 to 3 years) improvement of our current level of senior transportation, and what are the elements of an action plan for ensuring adequate transportation services for seniors in the longer term (4 to 10 years).
