Description

Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services (hereinafter "DCDCFS”)
announces a funding opportunity for a firm to operate a Dutchess County Surplus Food
Collection and Distribution Project. The objective of this project is to “rescue” safe edible food
that would otherwise be discarded from Designated Food Scrap Generators (DFSG’s) and direct
it to County Food Relief (or Rescue or Recovery) Organizations (FRO’s) like food pantries, or
other entities selected by the County. This is not a Food Scraps collection project.
Sub-Sections 2.1 – 2.4 contain the specific services required for the project.
