RFP-DCP-41-12 - Countywide Strategic Sourcing and Expense Reduction Services

Summary of Specifications:
Dutchess County, New York (the “County”) is currently seeking proposals from qualified individuals and business entities authorized to do business in the State of New York, to provide a comprehensive strategic sourcing effort to identify multiple areas for potential short-term and longer-term expense reductions, near-term cost savings and revenue enhancements. The County is also interested in maximizing the generation, and collection of revenues through existing and/or developable programs. The ultimate goal of this endeavor is to reduce the County’s costs of goods and services, while maximizing revenues. Services may include spending analyses, benchmarking and renegotiation of existing contracts to obtain guaranteed real savings, as opposed to cost avoidance, and identifying progress and best practices executed in generating revenues associated with such programs.
