Summary of Specifications:
This is a request for proposal (RFP) to perform professional Architectural and/or Engineering services for the School Facilities Management Dept. (SFMD) of the Yonkers Public Schools (YPS or School District). This RFP will be the basis, in part or in whole, of an Agreement between the successful proposer and the YPS for the work described at the rates and schedule proposed herein and/or as amended by negotiation. The term Consultant and Proposer in this document are interchangeable. The successful Proposer will become the Consultant. The Consultant shall perform professional engineering and/or architectural services, providing administrative, managerial and related services to the Yonkers Public Schools to comply with all requirements of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education - The consultant is expected to perform all work necessary for the District to achieve compliance with RESCUE Legislation, specifically per the “Amendments to Regulations of the Commissioner of Education,” - § 155.4 Uniform Code of Public School Building Inspections, Safety Rating and Monitoring and §155.6 School Facility Report Cards as more fully described in the Scope of Work.
