Summary of Specifications:
Under this Contract, the Contractor shall provide all materials, tools, equipment, labor and services necessary and required to remove and dispose of universal waste and hazardous waste. The work shall include, but not be limited to the following:
1. Remove from the site and properly dispose (with respect to all NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Westchester County Department of Health rules and regulations) of the following: 1. fluorescent lamps (intact and broken) 2. compact fluorescent lamps (intact and broken) 3. high pressure sodium lamps (intact and broken) 4. mercury vapor lamps (intact and broken) 5. metal halide lamps (intact and broken) 6. alkaline batteries 7. nickel-cadmium batteries 8. lithium batteries 9. lead acid batteries 10. ballasts containing PCBs 11. ballasts not containing PCBs 12. water-based paint 13. lead-based paint 14. epoxy paint 15. oil-based paint 16. herbicides 17. fertilizer 18. pesticides 19. lubricant oil 20. bearing oil 21. hydraulic oil 22. transmission fluid 23. anti-freeze 24. ethylene glycol (diluted and un-diluted) 25. graffiti remover 26. muriatic acid 27. testing for unknown substances
2. For above item nos. 1 thru 11, Contractor to provide boxes/containers at the COY Recycling Center (735 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers) for placement of waste to be removed. Replacement boxes/containers shall be provided at time of pick-up of waste. Boxes/containers shall be properly labeled in order for COY personnel to place waste in appropriate boxes/containers.
