Summary of Specifications:
RFB- 5427 – Furnish Tire Recapping Services The City of Yonkers is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform tire recapping, retreading, and related services for vehicles tucks and other equipment maintained by the City’s Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Division. Tread design shall be “Good Year Gripper” or approved equal. Contractor shall also perform any required casing preparation, spot repair or section repairs required. Pick up casings from the Department of Public Works (DPW), Vehicle Maintenance Division (VMD within two (2) business days after receipt of purchase order or verbal request from the City. Deliver recapped tires back to the Department of Public Works, Vehicle Maintenance Division within a maximum of (2) business days.
