The City of Yonkers (COY) is interested in purchasing long term dark fiber usage rights/or private advanced fiber optic service and associated maintenance to connect 28 site locations within the City limits. In addition, there is one site to site requirement of 386 dedicated fibers through redundant paths that are estimated to be less than one (1) mile. The City’s intention is to use the fiber for its own LAN/WAN needs, which involve separating video and data into separate and distinct VLANs.
Qualifications:
All offeror facilities from which services will be provided to the City are located within the United States and shall be staffed by resources located within the United States.
Offeror must have entered into at least three (3) similar North America based contracts in the past five (5) years which, at a minimum, include the following:
(a) The average annual value of each contract exceeds five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000);
(b) Each contract included the provision of dark fiber and/or managed fiber services;
(c) At least one (1) of the three (3) contracts must be with a public sector entity (i.e., federal, state, provincial, or local government);
