ITB-5617 - Palmer Road Water Main Improvements

Summary of Specifications:
The intent of this Contract is to replace two existing 24” gate valves and one existing 30” gate valve with two new 24” butterfly valves and one 30” butterfly valve, respectively. All water main work must be completed while utilizing live water main shut downs/connection, also to be furnished and completed under this Contract. The Contract work items involve, but are not limited to: conducting test pits to gain alignment, elevation, and diameter information of the existing water mains, install fire hydrants utilizing live water main connections, furnish and utilize live water main shutdowns to replace (2) 24” and (1) 30” water main valves, abandon in place (1) 24” gate valve, furnish and maintain maintenance and protection of traffic control devices as shown on the included plan, final restoration of concrete curbing, resetting of stone curbing, concrete sidewalk, and asphalt restoration, all as directed by the City’s Engineer.
