Summary of Specifications:
This bid documents describe the requirements to furnish and deliver, as required, NEW VEHICLE RADIATORS, REPAIRS AND RECORES, AS PER CITY OF YONKERS SPECIFICATION.
The estimate is based a projected usage over a 36-Month Contract Term. However, The City of Yonkers is not obligated to order any items against the resultant contract - it may utilize some, all, or none of the items listed in these documents. The estimated usage for the 36-months is: 60,000.00 New Radiator Purchase: The City of Yonkers uses various types and sizes of radiators in its fleet of vehicles, which range from compact car, light/heavy duty trucks, to large industrial on/off road machinery. The most commonly used radiator manufacturer is Modine. Vendors may quote an “equal”. Literature on the “equal” shall be attached with bid documents. Bidders shall have sufficient inventory of new Radiators and or repair replacement parts on hand to make delivery of items required within a 48-hours of notification. Delivery shall be made to: D.P.W. Service Center, Materials Manger, 1130 Nepperhan Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10703.
Vendors are to submit a firm, fixed DISCOUNT OFF THE SUGGESTED LIST PRICE AS LISTED INTHE LATEST ‘SUGGESTED LSIT PRICES, MODINE AFTERMARKET DIVISION, ALLNEW COMPLETE RADIATORS, PASSENGER CARS, LIGHT – MEDIUM – HEAVY TRUCK” BOOK. The discount shall be fixed for the 36-months and apply to the prevailing price book at the time of the order. Vendor must supply the Fleet Director with the updated price book as they are issued.
Scope of Work: Repairs shall consist of, but are not limited to: Cleaning, rodding, flushing, soldering, and spot welding of the radiator. Repairs shall be performed on a Flat Fee basis. Awarded vendor shall pick-up radiator from the Service Center located at 1130 Nepperhan Avenue within 48 hours of notification. Repairs shall be returned to the Service Center within 48-hours after pick-up.
Radiator Recores: Radiator recores shall be billed at a unit price that includes cost of recore plus the cost of radiator repair.
