Summary of Specifications:
The City of Yonkers is seeking a vendor on an as needed basis to provide services, equipment, and operator in the event of a water main break to remove subsurface material necessary to expose water mains and locate the break without having personnel in the hole within close proximity of dangerous utilities. Vendor shall supply a hydro trencher vacuum unit complete with 6000PSI coldwater and 3500 PSI hot water.
The job may include but not be limited to: Hydro excavate soil to locate a water main leak and clean around water main break as directed, excavate a broken water main or water service where the soil around the break is saturated with water and mud, excavate down and locate a water line without damage to nearby utilities, clean out valve risers, excavate around an existing curb stop valve riser and straighten, melt frost in frozen area and locate water main or service, keep mud off highway in order to prevent it from freezing. Insurance Required Prevailing Wage Required Award to two(2) lowest responsible and responsive bidders.
