Summary of Specifications:
which shall include the functions of a multipurpose vehicle which primarily provides support services at emergency scenes. The chassis shall offer a single rear drive axle with a single front steer axle configuration (4 X 2). The gross apparatus weight rating and the gross capacity weight rating shall be adequate to carry the weight of equipment and the apparatus, with all vehicle fluids full and fuel tank(s) at full capacity, miscellaneous equipment and all personnel weights considered as recommended by the most current edition of NFPA 1901. The chassis front gross axle weight rating (GAWR) shall be 18,000 pounds. The chassis rear gross axle weight rating (GAWR) shall be 24,000 pounds. The cab shall be manufactured for severe-duty service utilizing adequate strength and capacity for the application of protecting emergency service personnel. The cab shall be of a modular design offering maximum strength, durability, and reduced weight. The modular design shall allow for faster, less costly replacement of components.
