THE CITY OF YONKERS, BUREAU OF PURCHASING, 40 South Broadway, Room 102, Yonkers, NY 10701, will accept sealed bids for the following project until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. The bid documents are available free of charge and can be obtained at the above address, Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 9 AM till 4 PM. RFB-en-5384 – FIRE APPARATUS PUMP SERVICE TESTING
The intent of this specification is to insure that all fire pump systems on apparatus are tested on an annual basis to insure their safety and reliability. There are 20 fire apparatus pumps which require testing annually. Contract Period shall be for three (3) years with an option to renew for additional 12-months, at the same unit prices, terms and conditions, and delivery requirements as the original contract.
All inspection personnel shall be certified to appropriate standards as indicated by the certification levels specified within NFPA 1911 Standard for Testing Fire Department Fire Pumps Systems on Fire Apparatus, 2007 Edition or currently revised edition thereof.
