ITB-dc-5483 Renovation ENG 4 - Door Arch Renovations Fire Station Engine No. 4

Summary of Specifications:
The contractor shall provide shoring as required during the removal of the existing stone arch. The contractor shall use extreme care, not to damage the existing ornament over the door arch. The contractor shall field verify all existing dimensions, elevations, and conditions prior to construction. The contractor shall keep the work area clean and remove demolition debris daily form the site. 

PROPOSED APPRATUS DOOR ELEVATOR The door arch renovation indicated on this plan has been prepared in accordance with the New York State existing building code 2006 Edition, Section 707. All work shall be performed in accordance with this code and local requirements. Steel shall conform to AISC “Steel Construction Manual” ninth edition and AISC 341-97-SEISMIC provisions for structural steel buildings and shall be fabricated and installed in accordance with AISC “Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges” as adopted, March 7, 2000. Material for structural steel shall conform to the following ASTM Specifications: Wide Flange Shapes-A572 Grade50 Plates A36. Anchor rods shall be ASTM F1554, Grade36.
