Summary of Specifications:
This will be a single prime vendor contract for all required trades subject to the provisions of a Project Labor Agreement prepared by the Building and Construction Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties New York. The Amphitheater includes stepped outdoor concrete seating for 465 people, an outdoor concrete stage and concrete roof with associated stage lighting and audiovisual equipment, and 2 outdoor light towers. The outdoor concrete stage and concrete roof, approximately 600 sf, are adjacent to a one story Stage House with approximately 2,100 sf of fully sprinklered, heated and air conditioned indoor spaces including public toilet rooms, backstage area with audio-visual and stage lighting controls, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rooms. A concrete walkway and service drive provide access to pedestrians and vehicles from JFK Memorial Drive, with associated sidewalk curb cuts. The outdoor and indoor facilities of the Amphitheater will have an automatic fire protection system. The Stage House will be constructed with light gauge steel structural framing and glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) exterior precast cladding. Interior finishes are primarily painted drywall, glazed porcelain tile, and a concrete floor slab, which is polished in the public areas and painted in the service and backstage areas. The approximately one half acre site, located in Trevor Park in the City of Yonkers, will require clearing, grubbing, building excavation, fill, earthwork, and construction of water utilities, sanitary sewerage utilities, storm drainage utilities, and primary high voltage electrical service system with pad mount transformer and “t-tap” module.
