The specification describes a requirements contract for bulk split shipments of liquid caustic soda to be delivered to 2 locations: first shipment to be made to: Hillveiw Pump Station Corrosion Control Facility at 371 Central Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704, and the second shipment to: Tuckahoe Road Low Service Corrosion Control Facility at 317 Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers, NY 10710.
The 25% Caustic Soda Solution (Sodium Hydroxide) furnished under this contract shall be Membrane Grade. This material is required to be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water by an ANSI accredited certification organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60, Drinking Water Treatment Chemical-Health Effects. Furthermore, this material is required to meet ANSI/WWA Standard B501-98. Product Bulletin/Specification and the ANSI/NSF Standard 60 Certified Product Listing to be attached with bid package.
