ITB-5437 - 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycles

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Yonkers is seeking bids from factory authorized Harley Davidson vendors to furnish and deliver 2009 model year or newer Harley Davidson FLHTPI Electra Glide Police Motorcycles. These motorcycles must be new and unused. The motorcycle engine and suspension must be designed for optimum handling and performance in an urban area for law enforcement traffic duties. This includes stop-and-go driving, rapid acceleration and deceleration, maneuvering under normal and hazardous road conditions at both high speed and slow speed emergency and non-emergency operation. The contractor shall be required to accept the trade-in of up to eight (8) 2001 and five (5) 2004 Harley-Davidson FLHTPI police motorcycles, currently in use in by the YPD. For each new motorcycle purchased under the contract, the YPD shall reserve the right to trade in one of the aforementioned motorcycles. The YPD will specify which motorcycle, if any, are to be traded-in. The vendor shall indicate on the bid page a trade-in value for each listed motorcycle.
