The successful bidder shall provide services on a Monday through Saturday schedule, excluding national holidays. Services shall include the provision of specified containers; pick up; transport; legal disposal; handling of trash and recyclable materials, and all tipping/disposal fees.
Disposal shall be in accordance with Casella Waste Management’s rules and regulations. All materials picked up shall be taken to the appropriate solid waste management district facilities, unless otherwise directed in writing by Chemung County. The contractor shall dispose of solid waste, construction and demolition material, and other related material.
All work shall be performed during regular business hours. If additional pick-ups are requested by the County, the charges shall be in accordance with this contract, and the work shall be performed during regular business hours. No fuel surcharge will be paid.
The successful bidder shall employ ample skilled staff and possess adequate equipment in good repair to successfully perform all contract requirements.
The successful bidder agrees to comply with all rules and regulations that may be imposed by the Federal, State, County or Municipal Authority thereto, in securing any permits that may be required.
Any Chemung County department, whether or not listed herein, may participate in the contract under the contract terms and at the bid prices.
