RFB-2708 - RFB-2708 Replacement of Latta Brook Road (C.R.51) Bridge over Latta Brook

The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction
necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the Plans and described in these
Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following:
Remove and replace the existing Latta Brook Road crossing and reconstruct approximately 175 linear
feet of approach roadway to tie into the adjacent highway.
The project consists of the total replacement of the existing crossing of Latta
Brook Road (C.R. 51) over Latta Brook in the Town of Horseheads with a new
bridge and the reconstruction of the adjacent roadway sections. The proposed
bridge will consist of a single span, adjacent prestressed concrete beams with an
asphalt overlay. The superstructure will be supported on cast-in-place concrete
abutments founded upon driven steel H-piles. Approximately 235 linear feet of the
approach highway will be reconstructed as part of the project. The work on the
approaches includes full depth reconstruction and guide rail installation. An off-site
detour will be used to maintain traffic during construction
