This is a Locally Administered Federal Aid Project. The CR 61 Coleman Avenue Rehabilitation and
Stormwater Improvement Project (PIN 6754.91) involves improving the underground closed drainage
system that transmits Whirt’s Creek to the Chemung River to reduce the occurrence of flooding of
adjacent properties and roadways. Additionally, the project includes the rehabilitation of CR 61
(Coleman Avenue) from NY Route 352 to the Whirt’s Creek inlet. The work includes but is not
necessarily limited to mobilization, survey and stakeout, work zone traffic control, erosion and sediment
control, storm sewer relocation, water main relocation, sanitary sewer relocation, storm sewer
construction, buried culvert construction, storm sewer inlet construction, pavement repair, full depth
asphalt pavement reconstruction, curb, sidewalk, traffic signals, signing, marking, topsoil, and lawn
restoration. The project will be constructed in accordance with the Contract Plans, Technical
Specifications, and additional documents as described in the General Notes.
