2025-027 - Natural Resources Inventory Update

Broome County is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consulting firms to prepare an update to the Broome County Natural Resources Inventory (NRI). The NRI catalogs the physical and biological characteristics of Broome County. Its purpose is to guide the efficient use and conservation of the County’s natural assets and their benefits. Additionally, it considers the impacts of development on the environment and promotes the preservation of natural ecosystem functions. This update will build upon the work completed in the 2019 Broome County NRI by compiling and updating datasets, mapping and conducting analyses of the updated resource information, and conducting public outreach to establish resource protection and conservation strategies that will inform future planning efforts related to land use and environmental management.
