Summary of Specifications:
The County of Albany is seeking Sealed Proposals for its Liability Insurance Coverage as follows: Property, General Liability, Law Enforcement, Automobile, Crime, Umbrella, Public Officials and Employer’s Liability, Boiler and Machinery, and Nursing Home and Clinical Professional and General Liability. Coverage will be effective for a one (1) year period commencing on August 15, 2010 and terminating August 15, 2011, with options to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Proposals will be sought for all of the above insurance or any combination or individual coverage set forth above. The sealed proposals will be due on Friday, July 2, 2010. In order to select the best qualified brokers, brokers that have available markets, and/or insurance carriers, the County will be conducting a Broker Selection Process. Interested brokers and insurance carriers must complete a questionnaire and insurance market preference form and return it to the Purchasing Division and Compass Company Consultants, LLC by Friday April 30, 2010. The selected brokers and insurance carriers will then be assigned markets and the actual specifications will be distributed in early May. Only those brokers and insurance carriers that have timely submitted Questionnaires and Insurance Market Preferences will be allowed to participate in the Proposal process. Specifications will not be distributed to, and no proposals will be accepted for coverage by any broker or carrier that has not participated in the Broker Selection Process.
