Summary of Specifications:
Albany County Nursing Home is a 250 bed skilled nursing facility certified for Medicare and Medicaid. The Facility has 7 operating nursing units of varying sizes (20, 34, 39, 39, 39, 39, and 40 beds). Each unit is separate and geographically distinct from the others. The Facility envisions an electronic medical/health records system that would not only reduce resident risk and increase resident safety, improve the quality of service delivery, and significantly reduce the need for paper recordkeeping. Such a system would also enhance Facility revenues by facilitating the capturing of care delivery vital to the calculation of reimbursement via the MDS 3.0 under RUG’s for both Medicare Part A and New York State Medicaid Case Mix.
