RFP-2011-083 - Actuarial Services Related to the Financial Reporting of OPEB

Summary of Specifications:
Albany County is seeking written proposals for actuarial services necessary to report accrued retiree health insurance liabilities in compliance with Statement 45 of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board – “Accounting and Financial Reporting by Employers for Post Employment Benefits Other Than Pensions (OPEB)”. The actuary shall perform an evaluation of the County’s post-employment benefit obligations, other than pensions, suitable for inclusion in the County’s annual financial report as prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of the OPEB’s offered to its retirees. A detailed description of the scope of services is included in this RFP.
