Summary of Specifications:


The County of Morris is seeking proposals from qualified Psychiatrists, licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners, to provide Psychiatric Consulting services to the residents of the Morris View Healthcare Center. The Healthcare Center is a 283 bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Morris County, located in Morris Township, New Jersey. The Healthcare Center participates in both the Medicaid and Medicare programs, and also accepts private pay residents. 

II. Scope of Services 

• The Consulting Psychiatrist shall provide psychiatric services to the residents of Morris View as requested by the Medical Director, the Attending Physicians, or the Administrator of Morris View. These services shall include medication evaluation, prescription and management. The psychiatrist shall refer to and consult with facility medical staff in providing mental health services. Promotion of a team approach regarding the provision of mental health services shall be emphasized. A professional and effective work relationship between the psychiatrist and Facility staff is expected and essential to the safe and orderly operation of the Facility.
