Summary of Specifications:
The intent of this RFP and any resulting contract is to obtain the services of a qualified Contractor to provide housekeeping services, facilities maintenance, boiler maintenance and miscellaneous services at the Morris View Healthcare Facility (MVHC). Under the direction of the Facility Building Services Department, the Contractor shall provide services in three related areas. The County is seeking to establish innovative programs in each area which will anticipate and meet the changing demands of this operationally diverse facility. Each of the services is described as follows: 1. Traditional Housekeeping Services The Contractor shall clean and maintain all areas of the facilities physical plant except the Main Dietary Kitchen production area and the on-site Head Start Children’s Program. Appendix A of this document contains a non-scaled diagram of the Facility and its use assignments. Building Services is responsible for the Fixed Assets Program which includes the inventory, storage and final disposition of all movable assets. Building Services is responsible for the set up and break down of all on site meetings, in-services and venues. 2. Routine Maintenance and Repair Services The Contractor shall provide basic routine maintenance and minor repair services to the nursing, support service, separate use and common areas of the facility. The Contractor shall establish and maintain a durable medical equipment program. 3. Boiler Room Operation The Contractor shall manage all aspects of the operation of the Facility’s main boiler room and all related sub systems. The boiler room equipment requires that at least one (1) licensed high pressure boiler operator be on station at all times twenty four (24) hours a day each day of the year.
