PROJECT OVERVIEW - To facilitate the operation of the Morris County Historic Preservation Trust Fund program through the review of grant applications for the 2015 grant cycle and inspection of completed work by grantees for compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties 1995 (Standards).

Morris County Division of Planning & Preservation (MCPP) has estimated the number of applications for the 2014 grant round to be approximately 30 projects requesting a total of $3 million. The program funds three types of grants: (1) Construction Grants, limited to the rehabilitation, restoration, stabilization and preservation of historic buildings, structures or resources, (2) Preservation Planning Grants, including acquisition, and preparation of preservation planning documents, and (3) Construction Documents Grants, limited to the preparation of Construction Documents. All grants have a 2-year Period of Performance within which to complete their projects. For the 2015 grants, the Period of Performance would be from approximately October 1, 2015 to October 1, 2017.
