Summary of Specifications:
The County of Morris is soliciting proposals from Professional Engineers, licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, to prepare plans and specifications, and provide construction support services, for both the High Bridge Branch Resurfacing Project and the Dover and Rockaway Repair Project. The Consultant will prepare plans, a detailed construction cost estimate, and construction schedule, for use by the Morris County Division of Transportation, for the High Bridge Branch Resurfacing Project and Dover and Rockaway Repair Project. These projects are funded in part by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation and administered by Morris County Division of Transportation. All plans, estimates, and schedules must meet with NJDOT approval before final payment is made. The Consultant will provide construction support services that include part time construction inspection and administration including periodic site visits to review progress and to verify the quality and quantity of work elements in accordance with the Final Plans and Specifications. The Consultant will also provide engineering and technical support services during construction to assist Morris County and the Contractor deal with construction issues or changes encountered that cannot be addressed in the field. The Project is to proceed within two (2) weeks after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed from the Morris County Purchasing Agent. All work required for preparation and advertisement of bid specifications shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days after award of contract.
