Summary of Specifications:
The County of Morris, as part of their County Aid Program with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, has scheduled Milling and Resurfacing of the following: Engineering Design Services for Group 5 Milling & Resurfacing Projects: 1. Bartley Road (CR 625) in the Township of Washington from East Mill Road 2.5 miles ± north to South Four Bridges Road. 2. Millbrook Avenue (CR 656) in the Town of Dover and Township of Randolph from State Highway Route 10 0.9 mile ± north to Morris Street. Engineering Design Services for Group 6 Milling & Resurfacing Projects: 1. Boonton Avenue (CR 511) in the Town of Boonton from Main Street 1.0 mile ± north to Sheephill Road. 2. Lake Denmark Road (CR 664) in the Township of Rockaway from Mt. Hope Road 2.2 miles ± north to Snake Hill Road. The Consultant shall prepare Plans, Engineer’s Estimate of Cost and Engineer’s Design Certification suitable for submission to New Jersey Department of Transportation, Bureau of Local Aid, and for use in the bidding and construction of the above described locations. The Consultant shall provide Technical Specifications, for insertion into the Supplemental Specifications by the County of Morris, for any specialty item required for construction. The Projects are to proceed within two (2) weeks after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed from the Morris County Purchasing Agent. The Proposal shall include a Lump Sum Fee for each Project Group with a Lump Sum Cost breakdown for each individual location outlined herein. Costs for all miscellaneous services to complete the work shall be included in the Cost. All work for professional engineering services to provide final design and construction documents for each Project under this Contract shall be competed within ninety (90) calendar days. The County reserves the right to award the above two Groups (2 locations each) to individual Proposers, based on the review committee’s recommendations.
