Summary of Specifications:
The County of Morris is soliciting proposals from Engineering Consultants, licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, to provide design and construction administration for Asbestos Abatement at the Morris County Courthouse. The Morris County Courthouse is located on Washington Street, Morristown, New Jersey.
The scope of the project will consist of removing indentified asbestos material in the ground floor area of the 1969/70 addition at the Courthouse. The asbestos material is known to be in the Fire Proof Spray-on adhered to the under decking of the floor above and any identified pipe insulation throughout. Project will include the removal the all drop ceilings and HVAC ductwork and piping, electrical conduit, low voltage data wiring and ceiling fans including other building materials to insure access to the said Asbestos. Project will also include the replacement of the drop ceilings and all associated electrical fixtures, fire alarm devices, mechanical piping and HVAC ductwork.
The Consultant shall monitor all phases and aspects of the construction to ensure conformance to the contract drawings and specifications and advise the County with regard to the same. Such services shall include special attention to, and strict monitoring of, the areas of the project’s schedule, budget, and conformance to contract drawings and specifications.
