Summary of Specifications:
The County of Morris is soliciting proposals from Professional Engineers, licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, to provide design and construction administration for replacement of windows at the Morris County Courthouse, Morristown, New Jersey. Project design shall consist of replacing 153 single hung and 14 double hung windows existing in both the 1930 and 1970 expansion sections of the Morris County Courthouse. The proposed design shall include all interior and exterior trim to complete the project. Window units shall be designed to comply with ASTM standards. The County is seeking a maintenance free window and will allow each firm to elaborate on their recommended design and requirements to best fit that need. Consultant shall note that the 1930 section of this building is on the New Jersey Historical Register and, shall, on behalf of Morris County, submit an application to the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office for approval to replace those windows. Consultant shall, for the benefit of the County, monitor all phases and aspects of the construction to ensure conformance to the contract drawings and specifications and advise the County with regard to the same. Such services shall include special attention to, and strict monitoring of, the areas of the project’s schedule, budget, and conformance to contract drawings and specifications.
