Summary of Specifications:
The County of Morris has acquired the Central Avenue Complex building, located on the grounds of the Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany, New Jersey. It is the County's intention to renovate the building for extended use: upgrade or replace all utilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire suppression; bring the building up to all codes having jurisdiction as rquired, including, but not limited to, IBC and ADA; total separation of the functions of the lower level from the upper level, and complete the project in a phased renovation. This Project is Phase I. The County is seeking a Prime General Contractor, and appropriate sub-contractors, to provide Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Asbestos Removal, Roofing & Fire Sprinkler to perform the necessary Phase I renovation work as outlined in the plans and bid documents. All wages paid shall be at prevailing rates. The estimated project cost is between $3 million and $5 million; approximate completion time is August, 2010.
