25-18 - CCRFP FOR UNDERWRITING MANAGER – WORKERS’ COMPENSATION

The New Jersey Municipal Excess Liability Joint Insurance Fund (NJMEL) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to serve as Underwriting Manager for the Fund’s Workers’ Compensation program. The selected firm will market, negotiate, and place excess workers’ compensation and reinsurance coverage; review loss data and payroll audits to support premium allocation and actuarial forecasting; prepare annual premium schedules and renewal documentation; coordinate coverage documents and filings; and provide underwriting support to the Executive Director, Claims Administrator, and Safety Director. Through this Competitive Contracting Request for Proposals (CCRFP), NJMEL seeks an underwriting firm with demonstrated expertise in workers’ compensation risk programs for joint insurance funds or self-insured governmental entities, including knowledge of regulatory requirements, claims trends, and excess insurance markets.
