Summary of Specifications:
Through this Solicitation for Quotes (SFQ), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit quotes to provide calibration, repair, maintenance, and purchase/replacement services for flow meters, flow control equipment, field testing instruments, temperature monitoring equipment, signal transmitting equipment, valve actuators, and other miscellaneous storm water-related equipment at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) and Willow Run Airport (YIP). Storm water is detained at DTW in one of three (3) large detention ponds and two (2) smaller ponds. This storm water is discharged to local sanitary treatment plants or to surface waters. Numerous field and bench tests of this water are required prior to discharge in order to comply with federal permits. Once a discharge is initiated, required accurate flow and temperature measurement is conducted using permanent equipment at several locations. Two (2) additional off-site meters and level sensors are also in place and will be covered by this contract. The successful Respondent (Contractor) may also be required to provide in-stream monitoring of flow rate, temperature, and water quality as assigned by the Airport Authority. NOTE: If quoting equals, equals must be submitted in writing to the Airport Authority Procurement Department for approval by no later than the Question Deadline listed on Page 1 of this SFQ. If equals are submitted, supporting equipment documentation must also be provided by the Question Deadline.
