Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit proposals to provide “on call” environmental consulting and related services at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County and Willow Run Airports (Airports).
The Airport Authority is seeking environmental support services to assist Airport Authority staff when addressing environmental concerns at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County and Willow Run Airports. These services may relate to fuel issues, stormwater infrastructure, and stormwater discharge activities. In addition, issues such as environmental permit support, stormwater infrastructure analysis, underground storage tank (UST) and above ground storage tank (AST) services, drum identification / removal, and other miscellaneous environmental activities as may be required.
The Airport Authority may also require testing of specified areas for lead-based paint, asbestos, and mold and to properly abate, remediate and dispose of said materials per Federal, local, and Airport Authority requirements and directives at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (Metro Airport) and Willow Run Airport (Willow Run Airport). Ongoing construction and maintenance activities at DTW and YIP may produce or require the services of hazard material testing specialists. Pending the substance and test results, immediate remediation may be required. Therefore, the Airport Authority will also need the services of a hazardous material abatement specialist(s). The successful Proposer (Contractor) will provide “on call” comprehensive environmental services and technical/professional assistance to manage the various environmental issues at these Airports.
Due to the nature of the contract, the Contractor must be available on a 24 hour, 7 day per week basis, including holidays.
