INTRODUCTION: Through this Request for Bids (RFB), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Bids for Latex Runway Paint for the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (Metro) and Willow Run Airport (Willow Run).
GENERAL INFORMATION: The Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) is responsible for maintaining pavement markings on the airfields, ramps, parking lots and public road systems of both Detroit Metro (DTW) and Willow Run (YIP) airports. Painting is conducted with specialized road striping equipment as well as paint application machines standard for the trade. The Airport Authority and has ordered, on average, approximately 23,000 gallons of the various colors needed PER PAINTING SEASON for the past three years. The product is delivered, as needed, in 5 gallon containers, 55 gallon drums or 275 gallon totes depending on the type and number of containers requested per order. The Airport Authority may award multiple contracts, as deemed in its own best interests.
