Summary of Specifications:
Oakland County Purchasing Division is accepting SEALED proposals on behalf of the Oakland County Park & Recreation Commission (OCPRC) for vegetation removal and tub grinding services as described below.
Bidders are to provide one (1) clearly marked “Original” proposal, two (2) copies of the proposal, and a CD for a total of three (3) proposals and one (1) CD. The CD is to include ALL information provided the original proposal.
BACKGROUND/PURPOSE:
As part of the Oakland County Park & Recreation Commission’s (OCPRC) Strategic Planning Objectives for Natural Resource Management of park lands, OCPRC Staff have developed a program for the removal of invasive plant species within natural areas of the park lands. OCPRC Staff complete this removal with the use of skid steer(s) with a ‘JAWZ’ attachment for pulling woody vegetation from the ground. OCPRC staff strategically locates pulled vegetation in various areas of the park for disposal by burning.
Due to the amount of vegetation, burning operations is a time consuming process of disposal. Therefore, OCPRC Staff are interested in receiving proposals for the removal of and/or tub grinding services for woody vegetation and natural debris.
By submitting a proposal, bidders acknowledge having examined and/or being familiar with the locations of the 13 Oakland County Park sites, as it affects the cost of the work, and the contract documents, including the specifications, and addenda (if any) as prepared by the county agent, hereby propose to furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, tools, machinery, equipment and services to complete the following base bids and alternate items:
