000812 - Tree Care Services

Summary of Specifications:
The Oakland County Purchasing Division is requesting SEALED proposals on behalf of the Oakland County Facilities & Maintenance Operations Grounds Division for tree care services as outlined below. 

Provide one (1) “Original” and one (1) copy for a total of two (2) proposals in a SEALED package and deliver to the Oakland County Purchasing Division no later that Tuesday March 11, 2009 at 4:00 PM EST. No late bids will be accepted by the Purchasing Division. 

* Contractors proposing services for this contract MUST agree to the insurance requirements outlined in Attachment “C” sample contract boilerplate. The requirements are outlined on page 5 Section 5.2.1. 

SCOPE OF WORK 

Contractor to supply all labor, materials, incidentals and means of work to apply necessary pesticides and fertilizers to trees on County owned and managed properties as directed by the designated Contract Administrator. 

Minimum equipment requirement is a sprayer providing 300 PDI and the capability to spray trees at 600 PSI. The tank shall be a minimum of 500 gallons. 

All operators must be MDA certified. 

All work shall be performed in a professional manner and shall be in consistent with the current practices of the trade. 



Contractor shall be responsible for any and all required permits and/or inspections. 

All labor and materials shall be in accordance with applicable building, safety and fire codes. 

Contractor will provide MSDS for all chemicals used during the duration of the contract.
