Summary of Specifications:
The classification of Office Assistant I is one of the most widely used classifications throughout every county department and is the entry level clerical position. There are 273 Office Assistant positions throughout approximately 20 departments. Currently a computer based test is used. The modules tested are Proofreading, Math, Word 2003, Typing, and Customer Service. A new test is required measuring the competencies used in this classification that will ensure that the County is hiring the most qualified applicants that will be successful on the job.
