Summary of Specifications:
Oakland County Purchasing Division is requesting SEALED proposals on behalf of Oakland County Parks & Recreation for the installation of a gravel parking lot as described herein.
Description : the complete installation of a gravel parking lot ,Including all but not limited to materials, labor, permits, overhead and profit for all site work, including earthwork, storm drainage, asphalt entrance, curb and gutter, pavement markings, signage and site restoration.
NOTE TO VENDORS o Due to possibility of asphalt plants not opening before expected completion date, contractor will be responsible to provide temporary access to parking lot until asphalt is available o Oakland County parks have secured OC Road Commission Permit Application. Contractor to complete permit and fees. (approx $3,000) o Farm Fencing and Gates are NOT part of this bid. o All construction projects over $50,000 require a five percent (5%) Bid Bond. o Awarded construction projects over $50,000 require a 100 percent (100%) Performance and Materials Bond. o Site visits are not a mandatory condition of the bidding procedure but is highly recommended. The Owner reserves the right to call a pre-bid meeting, if deemed necessary; advance notice will be given. o Site visits should be between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and can be arranged by contacting the park supervisor Mike Boyd (248-625-0877) o Submit one (1) “Original” and two (2) copies for a total of three (3) proposals in a sealed package prior to the date and closing time specified. Failure to deliver proposals by the date and time specified will result in the rejection of the proposals. There are NO exceptions to this rule. o Submit a minimum of 3 vendor references of similar or like projects completed within the last 5 years
